Acceptance

By creating an account or using icooa you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 to use icooa. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide. One person may hold both a personal (consumer) profile and a business profile.

icooa is a discovery platform

icooa helps people find local businesses and professionals. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, any agreement, work, payment or dispute between a client and a business. We do not employ, endorse or guarantee any business or the quality of their work.

Staying safe

Always do your own checks before engaging a business: confirm any required licences or insurance, read reviews, and prefer Verified Businesses. Never transfer money to someone you are not sure about, and be cautious of anyone who pressures you to pay off-platform or in advance. A verification badge is a signal of trust, not a guarantee.

Business profiles and verification

If you list a business you must provide accurate details and hold any licences, registrations and insurance your work requires. Business verification relies on the ABN and details you supply, checked against the Australian Business Register. Verification confirms an ABN exists and matches — it is not an endorsement.

Payments and subscriptions

A business profile requires a paid subscription (free for everyone during the launch promotion). Subscriptions are billed through the app store (Apple or Google) and renew automatically unless cancelled. Where icooa facilitates payments between clients and businesses, those payments are processed by our third-party payment provider and are subject to their terms; icooa is not the merchant of record for the underlying services. If a payment is missed your business enters a grace period during which you can read but not reply to messages; after the grace period your business is hidden from the map and search until payment resumes. Your account and data are retained and can be reactivated at any time.

Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of the content you post, and you grant us a licence to display it in the app and on your public icooa page so the service can work. You must not post content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringing, and you must not misuse the app, other users, or the verification system. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences.

Disclaimers and liability

icooa is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of the app or any dealings with other users. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using icooa and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
